I neglect this thing way too much, so I am going to start a recurring project and hopefully that will keep me to task on putting stuff out there. I tried to come up with something original like Typo Tuesday or Spare Sunday, but then that seemed to bog me down on what I would actually do. Then I decided, “Go with something semi-easy just to get started and working,” — thus Wallpaper Wednesday.
I’m thinking it will be every two weeks and probably include two different wallpapers in various sizes. They might be related somehow but we’ll see how things work out. For now, take a look at the two below and tell me what you think.
Copper Flourishes
I had a few flooring tiles lying around and one of them had a mix of the colors you see here. I increased a little bit of the brightness in the colors and made the green patina parts stand out a little more through a bit of Photoshop. Finally, I scanned this sheet of paper with the flourishes and that had a bit of linen laid texture. That got blended in on top and you have the wallpaper below.

1280 x 1024

Bamboo Shells
Again, this came from just a couple of things lying around. There was this little wicker tray, some rock salt, and a couple of sea shells. I posed them up and snapped a quick picture. I got into Photoshop and added some depth with slight gradients at the top and bottom and blended using a linear burn. I really like the little bit of variety that shows up in the wicker here and there.
